NEW MEXICO GB-2 RESIDENTIAL

GB-2 Residential Contractor Requires two years experience. Erect, alter, repair or demolish homes, residences and apartment houses accommodating not in excess of four family units, Groups R-1 and R-3, as those groups are defined in 14.7.3 NMAC. May also bid and contract for items included in Group U, as defined in 14.7.3 NMAC, when incidental to these structures. Includes all work described by the GS specialty classifications, provided the work is limited to residential construction as defined under this provision.


NEW MEXICO GB-98 COMMERCIAL CONCTRACTOR

A GB-98 contractor may bid and contract as the prime contractor of a project that involves work authorized by the GB-98 license classification, regardless of the percentage of work in the mechanical/plumbing or electrical trades. The work outside the scope of the prime contractor’s license classification(s) must be subcontracted to an entity validly licensed in the appropriate classification(s).


NEW MEXICO GB-2 & GB-98 COMBO

New Mexico GB-2 and GB-98 Part 1 and 2 Combo. This package includes everything for the GB-2 and GB-98 exams. Note: All GB-98 contactors have to take the GB-2 exam, regardless of if they want to do residential work or not.


NEW MEXICO BUSINESS AND LAW

The New Mexcio Business Law exam is required for all contractor licenses in New Mexico. It is a separate test based on the book Business Law and Project Management.
